Hi all,

This has been a busy month once more.

I have had problems with the sending of the latest report of February-March, as it comes out that a number of people have not rceived it. I used my gmail account for it. Technicly I found it great to include the pictures and illustrations, but apparently the efficiency of the transmission of the mails remains to be improved.

I used it because the emails which I use with Outlook have been usurpated, and some of my mails arrive in the spambox of the receivers, and others are deleted. Though as I send a copy to the Interzone Coffee House http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theinterzonecoffeehouse/ as well, the members of the club got it.

The following infos have been published when I receive them in the site Interzone news

Interzone forum

So I have created a forum for the Zone : Interzone forum at https://interzone.forumotion.com allowing to get in touch without mails. It contains a number of categories and forums; you can also create new forums. It also contains a chat-room which can welcome a large number of people. It also is possible to join other members by private messages. It's the most effective and practical tool which I have ever seen for a community.

Feel free to register, it's easy. Once you have registered, you have to validate your registration by mail and there you are. Then you can publish your info directly in it.

For me this forum should be helpful for the Zone's administration, easier than making web pages a number of sites. The old sites of Interzone are full up, so I have created new ones with Google pages : Interzone Galleries, Interzone Reports and Interzone Editions, which is not on line yet, but will host the info on the new Interzone Editions.

Sites:

Interzone news
Interzone news at http://interzone-news.blogspot.com/is now hosting the info which comes to me, instead of Interzone news and blogs in My space which I do not use anymore, but which I keep as archives and to keep in touch with other Zoners' sites in My Space.

Interzone reports in Google pages :
I have created a new site with Google pages to host the reports because the other ones are packed. The reports of January and February-March 2008 are there at http://aubert.isa.googlepages.com/jan08.htm and http://aubert.isa.googlepages.com/reportfebmarch08.htm From the front page at http://aubert.isa.googlepages.com/ you can access to all the Zone's reports since the start in August 1997.

I am writing this report directly in the site, and it reveals much easier and quicker to realize than with the previous tool I used in the other sites.

The reports will also be hosted in the forum.

"Friends of Authors Audio,

I hope this letter finds you well and the interviews at Authors Audio are helping you market your books. I have just updated the Archive section of the website. Please click on the "Archive Interviews" section on the homepage to find your listing. You may link your website to the Authors Audio site , by downloading a Banner , as above. Upcoming authors will see their information shortly in the " Upcoming Authors " section of the site.

From time to time I need to ask our participants and friends, to help support the program by donating to the site. All of the expenses, time and effort are currently out of pocket. Authors Audio is growing and new authors are coming fast and furious, which is good news for all of us. If you can help us, simply visit the website and donate by accessing Paypal through the icon on the site. You may use your credit card or your Paypal account to do this.

I am hoping that through the efforts of my program and others we can help to connect the public to today's new literature, new ideas, poetry and the discussion of the important issues of our day. It is so important that books play a significant part in the developing of new ideas and the expressing of the creative vitality of our modern culture. This is especially true for kids and young adults now. Certainly we cannot expect television and many other forms of communication to do this job. Unfortunately the general media has almost been completely taken over for financial interests alone.

Here are just a few new Authors and Poets coming soon to Authors Audio. They will be listed in the Upcoming Authors section in the next few days.

Duff Brenna (Mamie)
Jack Marshall (From Baghdad to Brooklyn)
Thomas Kennedy (Riding the Dog , A Look Back at America)
Rita Trevalyan (Roman Rhapsody)
Jim Berkland (The Man Who Predicts Earthquakes )
Carl Calleman (Understanding the Mayan Calendar)
I am currently working on possible interviews with ex-President, Jimmy Carter and current Presidential candidate, Ralph Nader.

I thank you all for your participation and your help. May the force be with us."

Frank Rynne: Brian Jones 40th Anniversary in Joujouka
Brian Jones 40th Anniversary Festival in Joujouka 29th July Tickets on sale Here

Brian Jones 40th Anniversary in Joujouka
A once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience a day and night in Joujouka as guests of the Master Musicians of Jououka and their families on 29th July 2008.

The story
On 29th July 1968 Brian Jones came to Joujouka with Brion Gysin, Mohamed Hamri and engineer George Chkiantz to record an album with the Master Musicians of Joujouka.
The resulting LP was the first release on Rolling Stones Records in 1971 "Brian Jones presents the Pipes of Pan at Joujouka".
To mark the 40th anniversary of this historic recording, the Master Musicians of Joujouka are staging a celebratory festival on 29th July 2008. The musicians will perform the Sufi healing music of Joujouka and, after dinner, the night will be filled with a full performance of the musicians' Boujeloud Rite, which is likened to the ancient Rites of Pan.
Joujouka is a farming community with strong Sufi traditions, located in the Ahl Srif Mountains some 80 km south of Chefchaouen and 20km from Ksar El Kebir. It is a halal village; therefore, both presence and consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden.

Food and board
Accommodation will be provided in traditional Joujouka houses with the musicians' families. This is a unique opportunity to experience a festival in the village and Joujouka life.
Full board will be provided: lunch on arrival on the 29th, a celebratory meal in the evening, and breakfast on the morning of the 30th. All the dishes will be prepared by the villagers and will be traditional Moroccan fare for a celebratory feast.
The people of Joujouka are renowned for their music and their cooking.
Places are limitedThis once-in-a-lifetime experience is available to a strictly limited 50 places. This is due to accommodation limitations in the village, which is 20km from the nearest urban centre.

Travel arrangements
Ticket holders must make their own way to Ksar El Kebir.Ticket holders will be transported from Ksar El Kebir's main train station ("Mouley Mehdi") at a designated time on the morning of 29th. Return transport to Ksar El Kebir will be provided on 30th to meet connecting trains.Grand taxis, and buses also serve Ksar El Kebir.
The price for this unique experience is €250 per person.Information available from joujouka@gmail.comBooking at http://www.joujouka.net/
