Izzi has been a very supportive person over the years. There aren't many people that I've bothered to keep in touch with over the 'net on a long-term basis, but Izzi is one of them. Also I received the help of another Zoner, Paul Hawkins, to help with my Novel-in-Progress when no one else would. So there seems to be some decent folks in this community.

I'm a writer, husband, father (our daughter is three years old now), and real estate agent here in Baltimore. I was also diagnosed with "bi-polar disorder" two years ago and recently switched medication from Seroquel to Trileptal. However, I retain some skepticism about psychiatry demonstrated in Insanity Factory, but perhaps not as much as I used to. Anyway at least for the time being I'm following Doctor's orders and taking my meds! I mention this because I know that Izzi is a psychiatric nurse and psychologist so she knows about these things!

I studied "The Great Books of Western Civilization" at St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland and Santa Fe, New Mexico. My wife is from the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean.

I look forward to discussion and meeting new folks! I'll even try to be polite.

There are not many people at the moment, but let's things go on their way.

I am going to pass the Zone news here too. The ideal would be that the Zoners come to this forum, this would make things much easier than using different sites and blogs.

This place is also practical for the meetings: you requested a monthly meeting, this is the place to make it.
